    New Pond Management Program Launched

    CCFC Redesigns Web Site

    Flower PR, LLC announced the launch of the redesigned www.ccfc.org, the official Web site of the California Cut Flower Commission. Flower PR, LLC will host and handle the web site activities for the CCFC.

    CCFC.org will feature monthly updates, a flower database, updates on the Commission’s programs, a calendar of events and regular email updates to industry friends and consumers.

    Aquascape’s Wittstock Honored

    Recently, Greg Wittstock, was inducted into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. Greg Wittstock, CEO and owner of Aquascape, Inc. was recognized for his entrepreneurial achievements and making a lasting impact on Chicago’s business landscape. The Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago hosted the event.

    Monrovia Expands Availability Of Premium Soils

    Monrovia Growers announced it has expanded the retail distribution of its packaged soil mixes to nine states in the West and Southeast. For the past two years, Monrovia has been testing sales of its premium soil and amendment — throughout California, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada and Washington; and last year in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Based on a very positive response from retailers and gardeners, Monrovia is shipping to all nine of those initial test states and planning to expand the distribution throughout the U.S.

    Acalypha ‘Bourbon Street’ Makes Garden Design’s Way Hot List

    Athens Select recently announced that Acalypha ‘Bourbon Street’ has made Garden Design magazine’s annual Way Hot 100 List.

    Acalypha ‘Bourbon Street’ is one of just 14 annuals on the list of plants that caught the eyes of the consumer magazine’s editors. In the March issue, ‘Bourbon Street’ is the first plant on the list, according to Athens Select.
