Spring Meadow Nursery Adds to Its Sales Staff
In an effort to meet increased product demand, Spring Meadow Nursery has added Lincy Christmas to its sales department. She will manage new accounts in the Northeast region while Holly Hesche maintains existing accounts in the same territory.
Christmas’ background includes selling retail and promotional products, and most recently managing a garden center and nursery. Joining Spring Meadow Nursery is a natural transition for Christmas because of her knowledge and passion for plants.
“Customer satisfaction is my No. 1 goal,” said Christmas, who has 22 years of sales experience. “I’m looking forward to helping my customers grow their business with the best products from Spring Meadow.”
In addition to sales, Christmas is a certified landscape designer, pesticide applicator and pond builder. For more information on Spring Meadow Nursery, visit http://www.springmeadownursery.com
Master Nursery’s Branded Annuals Program Grows by Leaps and Bounds
As a testament to the marketing success of Garden Elements since it was introduced just two years ago, Master Nursery Garden Centers reports that, for 2009, they have added three more growers to this branded annual program. The new growers are Schmidt Brothers in Ohio, Monterey Bay Nursery in Northern California and Southland Growers in Southern California.
The addition of these growers will make the program available to Master Nursery members in three new regions of the country, extending it throughout the Midwest and out to California.
These nurseries join four growers who were already Garden Elements growers in 2008: Esbenshade' s Greenhouses in Pennsylvania; Norman Keil Nurseries in Long Island, N.Y; Hart's Greenhouse in Connecticut; and Barone Gardens in upstate New York.
Garden Elements is Master Nursery Garden Centers' exclusive brand of premium annuals that was launched on the East Coast in 2007 with one grower supplying 27 garden centers. By 2008, there were four growers and 92 garden centers in the program. In 2009, Master Nursery anticipates well over 100 of its member garden centers will be participating, served by seven growers. The program includes both individual plants and combination baskets and planters, revitalized with new varieties being offered.
