Early Birds Catch The Worms On Black Friday    Nov 29, 06   National Retail Federation
Black Friday had sales galore this year. News stories reported that people were waiting in line at some places at 3 a.m. while some malls opened their doors at midnight. Basically, the message here is, “If there is a deal, they will come.” I know most of you do not need to open your store at 6 a.m., but Black Friday had some great deals and even got a girl (me) who does not like to shop on Black Friday to the mall leaving happily with a number of discounted purchases. Just some food for thought during a season that may need a little bit of an angle for garden centers.
