Ball Website Features New Combo Recipes
Given the rising trend of container gardening, Ball Horticultural Company has created combination and monoculture containers to inspire retailers and gardeners alike. More than 45 container gardening recipes have been added to the portal site www.ballhort.com. In addition to these recipes, retailers will also find an easy-to-understand diagram with container size and a listing of plants used in the container.
All of these containers have passed tried-and-true testing to ensure retail-ready appearance as well as excellent growth for the consumer throughout the growing season. “Many containers that are designed and sold at retail will fail, which creates frustration for the consumer,” said Bill Calkins, Ball’s business manager for independent garden centers.
To search for a container, click on the sun exposure where your container will be located, which will display a collection of containers best suited to those conditions. You can also download a PDF version of the container page. Ball has created recipes to share but welcomes users to create your own based on the guides.
