Empire Canning Jars, a new joint venture led by Alliance Foods Inc., has introduced a new and independent line of true “Mason” jars, the first to reach the retail market in more than 25 years. Featuring thicker glass than other canning jars in key areas like the lip, shoulder, wall and base — as well as 100 percent BPA-free lids — Empire Canning Jars were created to offer both retailers and consumers a “fresh new choice” in a marketplace where competition has been extremely limited.
