Deadline Extended for 40 Under 40 Nominations

The deadline for nominating someone to GPN's 40 Under 40 Class of 2013 has been extended until Jan. 31, 2013.

In May 2012, we introduced our first-ever 40 Under 40. From Albano to Zimmerman (and all 38 in between), the Class of 2012 was quite diverse and represented excellence in all aspects of the horticulture industry.

Each and every one of those 40 individuals is a trailblazer in their personal and professional lives. Their creativity, wisdom, leadership, benevolence, commitment and contributions to the industry have been and continue to be exemplary. That is how they made it on to our inaugural list.

You can learn more about the Class of 2012 on our 40 Under 40 page under the Awards tab on www.gpnmag.com.

Who’s Next?

Now we are looking for our Class of 2013 and want your nominations.

Once again, we will shine the spotlight on those men and women who represent the future of horticulture. They will be the ones who will help determine which way the industry is headed and why it is headed that way.

As we did in 2012, the latest Fab 40 will be recognized in the May 2013 issue of GPN as well as at several different functions at OFA Short Course.

Anyone under the age of 40 (as of Jan. 31, 2013) can be nominated. Someone that was nominated last year, but did not make the final 40 can be nominated again this year but members of the Class of 2012 are not eligible.

If you know an individual that you feel should be a member of this distinguished group, then nominate that person for our Class of 2013.

To nominate someone, send the following information to me at [email protected]:
• Nominee’s name, title, e-mail address and birth date*
• Company name and address
• A brief statement (300-600 words) detailing the individual’s accomplishments and why he or she should be considered

The deadline for nominations HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL JAN. 31, 2013.

*Nominations without a birth date will not be considered.
