Dogwood

Pucker Up! red twig dogwood (Cornus stolonifera) stops people in their tracks in the trial gardens. The distinctively puckered, glossy foliage is quite thick and delivers a high degree of leaf spot resistance. A compact 3 to 4 feet tall and wide habit and red winter stems add to this deer-resistant, native shrub’s year-round appeal. It is hardy to USDA Zone 3, does well in both full sun and part shade and is a great addition to cut flower gardens.
