East Harlem Garden Center Tries Crowdfunding

Urban Garden Center in East Harlem, N.Y., was destroyed after a two-building gas-line explosion in the surrounding area on March 12. The building sent flying debris into the business, and the owners must now get creative about finding ways to re-open.

Dimitri Gatanas, co-owner of Urban Garden Center, has turned to fundraising website gofundme.com to get the money needed to rebuild.

As of March 19, Gatanas had raised $10,000 for the cause, according to an article in the Daily News.
