GCA Summer Tour Heads West to San Fran in 2014
During the GCA Membership Networking Lunch at last week’s IGC Show in Chicago, Garden Centers of America announced next year’s GCA Summer Tour will spotlight cutting-edge garden centers and retail trendsetters in the San Francisco Bay Area, June 22-25, 2014.
“Certainly, as one of the best garden center markets in America – many times, on the fun and funky side of things – the San Francisco Bay Area is a destination that’s been in demand for the GCA Summer Tour for quite some time. Now, the GCA Leadership Council is excited to announce this Northern California hot spot as next summer’s source for retail inspiration!” says Jeff Morey, GCA’s Executive Director.
Plans are under way to spotlight retailers in San Francisco, San Jose and the North Bay Area, including Napa Valley’s wine country and, tentatively, Sacramento.
“In celebration of this beautiful wine country setting, we’ll be sure to include a winery tour and dining as part of the GCA Summer Tour experience,” Morey says.
More details about next summer’s GCA Summer Tour will be announced in the coming months.
