Neuhouser's Closing Its Two Locations

After 25 years of service in Fort Wayne, Ind., Neuhouser Nursery, Neuhouser Garden & Gifts, and Neuhouser Landscaping closed down for good earlier this week. With tough economic and drought conditions, owner Kenton Neuhouser said sales were awful this year, reports Bob Caylor. 

“If we could have held out until next year, the damage from this year could very well have benefited us, both in retail and in landscaping,” Heuhouser says. Caylor writes Neuhouser was unable to "establish credit to carry his business through the winter." The bank Neuhouser has worked with for more than 30 years eliminated its local small-business lending department.
