Petitti's Garden Center hopes to open its tenth location in Ohio by spring of 2014.

Petitti’s Garden Center hopes to open its tenth location in Ohio by spring of 2014. The proposed garden center is in the Stow Towne Center, according to the Stow Sentry.

Angelo Petitti, business owner, and Jeffrey Soclof, property owner, are meeting with the Stow Planning Commision to see if it will consider a conditional zoning certificate.

The garden center would be located in the area of a former Apples grocery store as well as three current retail units.

Sara Drew, Stow mayor, told the paper a garden center would be a great addition, and the current tenants of the retail units have agreed to move to other units in the plaza.

If approved, Petitti’s Garden Center will also construct a 17,280-square-foot greenhouse and an additional 41,000-square-foot display and storage area on the property.

The planning commission must approve the plans before it moves on to the Stow City Council Oct. 7.
