STEPABLES President to Speak on POP Techniques at Farwest ShowSource: Under a Foot Plant Company

Fran Hopkins, president and founder of Under a Foot Plant Company, will speak on Aug. 21, 2008, at the annual Farwest trade show in Portland. Her address, “To POP or Not to POP; That Is the Question,” will discuss the use of point of purchase (POP) materials to market a brand message. Hopkins has had award-winning success with marketing efforts for the national brand of creeping perennials, STEPABLES, and she will share her expertise at this forum.

Hopkins’ approach to marketing involves creating customer loyalty through positive shopping experiences and success with products, and she thinks POP can help achieve that. “The right POP materials can make a significant difference in boosting sales,” Hopkins said. “Signs, tags, brochures and other materials help provide consumers with the information they need to make specific and high-profile purchases.”

Hopkins’ lecture will educate attendees on using POP materials to maximize brand messaging, awareness and equity, as well as ways to maintain business in a struggling economy. “Strategic and consistent POP materials have been proven to impact sales, profits and overall business efficiencies, and the session will help reveal beneficial and practical solutions for retailers,” she said in recent press release.

The Farwest show will take place Aug. 21 to 23 in Portland’s Oregon Convention Center. Catch Hopkins’ lecture opening morning from 9 to 10 a.m. PST. To find out more about Farwest, visit www.farwestshow.com. To learn more about Hopkins and the STEPABLES POP marketing, visit www.stepables.com.
