Terra Nova Nurseries Introduces New Agastache Variety
Terra Nova Nurseries announced today a new 2015 Sneak Peek introduction, now available for growers to pre-order, called Agastache ‘Kudos Yellow’. This new variety joins the Agastache Kudos series, which includes Agastache ‘Kudos Ambrosia’, Agastache ‘Kudos Coral’, Agastache ‘Kudos Mandarin’, Agastache ‘Kudos Silver Blue’, and Agastache ‘Kudos Gold’.
As a whole, this series produces bountiful flowers that emerge from low, mounding foliage. In addition, all varieties in the series have been bred to yield extra hardiness and are more disease-resistant than previous agastaches introduced to the market.
Agastache ‘Kudos Yellow’ features yellow flower spikes that bloom from late spring to fall. This compact variety is well-branched and drought- / mildew-resistant. It is a great perennial color spot for summer gardens, making it a hummingbird favorite. Compared to Agastache ‘Sunset Yellow’, Agastache ‘Kudos Yellow’ has larger, denser inflorescences and a hardier, upright and bushy habit. The average size is 24″ Wide / 24″ High with a 26″ Flower Height. It grows well in zones 5 10 and has a finish time from 6 to 8 weeks.
