Wisconsin Garden and Landscape Center Founder Dies

Jim Bluemel, founder of Bluemel’s Garden and Landscape Center in Greenfield Wis., died Jan. 18, 2014, at the age of 84.

Bluemel started a tree and landscaping business in 1955 in his backyard before expanding into its current garden center, according to a Journal Sentinel report. For more than 10 years, he also provided voluntary services to the Red Cross.
