Armstrong Buys Family Nursery
The owners of Sunnyside Nursery in San Anselmo, California, have sold the business to Armstrong Garden Centers.
The owners of Sunnyside Nursery in San Anselmo, California, have sold the business to Armstrong Garden Centers. According to a statement on the Sunnyside website, the garden center had been in the family for 75 years. After three generations of ownership, the Perry family says they did not have a next generation to continue the business.
“In the absence of a likely family member to carry on, we have been searching for over a year for a way to continue the business,” writies Tom Perry, president. “We are very pleased and excited to announce that we have found a strong, reputable group to continue this valued nursery operation for the community and at the same time offer our excellent and loyal staff the best chance to continue on in their chosen profession.”
Armstrong Garden Centers has been in business for more than 125 years and has more than 30 California stores.
